INFORMACIÓN GENERAL HABILITACIONES

Cordial saludo,

a continuación les comparto información general sobre las habilitaciones.

GENERALIDADES

• Dicho examen tiene como fin darles otra oportunidad para aprobar la materia, inglés 2.
• El examen igual que los exámenes regulares de la materia, cubre los siguientes aspectos: escucha (listening), gramática (grammar), vocabulario (vocabulary), lectura (reading), escritura (writing) y habla (speaking). En el documento del examen los ejercicios están divididos tal y cómo los menciono aquí.
• Con respecto a los exámenes regulares tiene el doble de puntos de nota, los regulares tienen 50 puntos mientras que este tiene 100. Por lo anterior, el examen es más largo en ejercicios y hojas (tiene 5) y a su vez, toma más tiempo resolverlo (2 horas aproximadamente).
• El examen cubre todos los temas vistos en la materia, desde la unidad 7 hasta la 12 del libro World Link Intro.
• Para SPEAKING van a escoger un tema al azar (por números) y hablarán sobre dicho tópico por 1 minuto.

FECHA, HORA Y SALÓN

Fecha: Lunes, 10 de diciembre de 2018.
Hora: 6:00 a.m hasta aproximadamente 8:00 a.m.
Salón: Edificio A, segundo piso (lo más probable salón 201); en el peor de los casos que no se pueda usar dicho salón sería en el tercer piso del mismo edificio.

Nota: Teniendo en cuenta que el examen cubre todos los aspectos pero estos tienen más puntos (de nota) el mismo es más largo, por lo tanto la duración aproximada del examen es de 2 horas. Por tal motivo sí deben entrar a trabajar sobre las 8:00 a.m. mí sugerencia es que pidan permiso pues a esta hora apenas estarían terminando.

Para estudiar pueden hacer uso de las fotocopias trabajadas en clase, el libro y los ejercicios junto a explicaciones publicados aquí mismo. 

Recuerden que en DJ quedó una fotocopia ("Mock exam") para que estudien con temas y tipos de ejercicios similares a los del examen. Los audios (junto a la versión digital de dicha actividad) están publicadas también aquí.

Finalmente, tengan en cuenta que pueden desarrollar los ejercicios de la plataforma MyELT hasta máximo el día sábado 1 de diciembre. No olviden que esta actividad les da hasta + 0.5 para el 80% de la nota.

3rd CUT EXAM INFORMATION

Hello students,

Here you will find information about the 3rd Cut Exams, it is in Spanish in order to avoid confusions and/or misunderstandings.

La primera clase de la semana se realizará el examen escrito, que cubre las partes (habilidades) escucha, lectura, gramática, vocabulario, y escritura.

Específicamente se llevará a cabo en los siguientes horarios:
Grupo E201: Miércoles 28 de octubre, de 6:00 a 7:30 am.
Grupo B043: Miércoles 28 de octubre, de 7:30 a 9:00 am.
Grupo B062: Jueves 29 de octubre, de 6:00 a 7:30 am.

Por otro lado, el examen de habla se desarrollará en la segunda clase de la semana.

Especificamente se llevará a cabo en los siguientes horarios:
Grupo E201: Viernes 30 de octubre, de 6:00 a 7:30 am.
Grupo B043: Jueves 29 de octubre, de 7:30 a 9:00 am.
Grupo B062: Viernes 30 de octubre, de 6:30 a 8:00 pm.

Recomendaciones para el examen:

-Llegar temprano con el fin de que tengan la mayor cantidad de tiempo posible (en mi caso procuraré llegar antes para organizar el salón y tener todo listo tan pronto como ustedes lleguen). Una vez el examen inicie no habrá repiticiones de instrucciones y/o grabaciones, es su responsabilidad llegar a tiempo. 

-Para el examen de habla, cada estudiante tendrá 1 minuto para hablar sobre un trabajo (nombre del  trabajo, habilidades (can/can't), responsabilidades, ropa que se usa, lugar de trabajo).

Les pido encarecidamente favor agilizar el paso para tomar este examen, pues como fue evidente en el primer corte ustedes son muchos y el tiempo bastante limitado. 

-Recuerden estudiar con los ejercicios en línea publicados aquí en el blog y/o repasar con las explicaciones que también encontrarán aquí.

-Los audios (grabaciones) para el examen de escucha se repetirán un número máximo de 2 veces.

-No olviden las reglas básicas para cualquier examen: nada encima de la mesa excepto la cartuchera, no pedir ningún tipo de útil escolar durante el examen (antes pueden hacerlo, pedir prestado sacapuntas, lápiz, etc.), el bolso debe estar detrás de la silla y/o en el suelo, el celular en modo vibrador en el bolsillo y/o bolso, y no hablar de ninguna manera con cualquier compañero.

-No podrá abandonar el salón durante la aplicación del examen (ni para salir al baño, ni contestar llamadas, ni ningún otro motivo), sólo podra salir de la clase cuando haya acabado por completo de resolver el examen y una vez lo haya entregado al docente.

-El examen escrito se desarrollará de la siguiente manera: (1) en primer lugar se resuelve la parte de escucha y en este momento el docente pondrá las grabaciones, para continuar después de forma individual y autonóma con (2) la resolución de las secciones lectura, escritura, gramática y vocabulario.

This post has 2 objectives:

1) Remind you about the homework for this week: It is written (its intructions) on the photocopy we worked on last week, the one about chores/housework, and you can take as an example the text from exercise D.

I think in my house my mother does most of the housework. She 1 makes the meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), 2 cleans the bathroom and 3 does the ironing.

INFORMATION ABOUT PHOTOCOPIES + CLARIFICATION

Hello students,
Here I will post some important information about photocopies and a clarification about the extra grade for the work on the MyELT platform, it is in Spanish to avoid any confusions.

FOTOCOPIAS

A partir de esta semana y hasta el final del semestre todas las fotocopias se dejaran en la papelería COPYMAYOR, ubicada en Plaza Mayor (a la vuelta de copias DJ). Por lo tanto, es su responsabilidad ir y sacar la copia para trabajar en clase y/o repasar. Las únicas copias que yo sacaré y llevaré a clase son las de quices y/o exámenes.

Con respecto a la copia de la siguiente semana desde mañana ya pueden pasar por dicha papelería y sacar la fotocopia, para que la traigan la otra semana para las clases.

TRABAJO EN PLATAFORMA MyELT

Recuerden que hasta el viernes pueden hacer los ejercicios en la plataforma MyELT para que se ganen el 0.5 extra en el 80% de la nota del primer corte.

MISSING GRADES

The following post is for the people who don't have some of the grades corresponding to the classwork, I will write it down in Spanish to be as clear as possible.

A algunos estudiantes les faltan algunas notas y es necesario que se pongan al día, recuerden que las tareas a más tardar se entregan la siguiente clase y después de ella es un 0.0, y por lo tanto la siguiente información no aplica para tareas.

Las notas que aún pueden entregarme esta semana es la nota de la primera guía que hicimos del reloj, que ya está calificada y por lo tanto lo que deben hacer es decirme/mostrarme la nota obtenida en dicha guía.

Por otro lado, sino la tiene porque no estaba matriculado y/o no vino puede pedir una guía prestada y hacerla a mano para entregarmela máximo esta semana.

Con respecto al quiz algunos faltaron y no tienen esta nota, después de consultarlo y pensarlo me da pena con ustedes pero NO será posible presentarlo después. Esto pues se les avisó con tiempo en qué semana especifica se realizaría y la asistencia es responsabilidad y deber de ustedes. Es necesario que se tomen en serio estas evaluaciones tal y como sí de un parcial se tratara.

1st CUT EXAM INFORMATION

Hello students,
Here you will find information about the 1st Cut Exams, it is in Spanish in order to avoid confusions and/or misunderstandings.

La primera clase de la semana se realizará el examen escrito, que cubre las partes (habilidades) escucha, lectura, gramática y vocabulario, y escritura.

Específicamente se llevará a cabo en los siguientes horarios:
Grupo E201: Miércoles 12 de Septiembre, de 6:00 a 7:30 am.
Grupo B043: Miércoles 12 de Septiembre, de 7:30 a 9:00 am.
Grupo B062: Jueves 13 de Septiembre, de 6:00 a 7:30 am.

Por otro lado, el examen de habla se desarrollará en la segunda clase de la semana.

Especificamente se llevará a cabo en los siguientes horarios:
Grupo E201: Viernes 14 de Septiembre, de 6:00 a 7:30 am.
Grupo B043: Jueves 13 de Septiembre, de 7:30 a 9:00 am.
Grupo B062: Viernes 14 de Septiembre, de 6:30 a 8:00 pm.

Recomendaciones para el examen:

-Llegar temprano con el fin de que tengan la mayor cantidad de tiempo posible (en mi caso procuraré llegar antes para organizar el salón y tener todo listo tan pronto como ustedes lleguen). Una vez el examen inicie no habrá repiticiones de instrucciones y/o grabaciones, es su responsabilidad llegar a tiempo.

-Para el examen de habla, el docente hará preguntas y los estudiantes responderán de forma individual. Cada estudiante escogerá  al azar 5 números diferentes que corresponden a 5 preguntas que el docente hará de forma oral y el/la estudiante oirá y después contestará también de forma oral. Estas preguntas se relacionan con cada uno de los temas vistos en las unidades trabajadas en clase, 7 y 8 del libro. En cuanto al orden para tomar este examen, puede ser alfabético (uno de arriba y uno de abajo de la lista, para ser justos), por orden de llegada y/o voluntariamente; lo importante es que todos puedan y alcancen a tomar el examen el día estipulado.

-Recuerden estudiar con los ejercicios en línea publicados aquí en el blog y/o repasar con las explicaciones que también encontrarán aquí.

-Los audios (grabaciones) para el examen de escucha se repetirán un número máximo de 2 veces.

-No olviden las reglas básicas para cualquier examen: nada encima de la mesa excepto la cartuchera, no pedir ningún tipo de útil escolar durante el examen (antes pueden hacerlo, pedir prestado sacapuntas, lápiz, etc.), el bolso debe estar detrás de la silla y/o en el suelo, el celular en modo vibrador en el bolsillo y/o bolso, y no hablar de ninguna manera con cualquier compañero.

-No podrá abandonar el salón durante la aplicación del examen (ni para salir al baño, ni contestar llamadas, ni ningún otro motivo), sólo podra salir de la clase cuando haya acabado por completo de resolver el examen y una vez lo haya entregado al docente.

-El examen escrito se desarrollará de la siguiente manera: en primer lugar se resuelve la parte de escucha y en este momento el docente pondrá las grabaciones, para continuar después de forma individual y autonoma con la resolución de las secciones lectura, escritura, y gramática y vocabulario.
